This is the perfect way to start of Memorial Day Weekend!!! – Get your Passports Stamped between 11am and 4pm
Fredericksburg Motor Sports is Proud to be a Sponsor and Staging Area for the Ride to the Wall on Sunday May 28th. But first, FMS is having a Rolling Thunder Kick-Off Party on Saturday May 27th. There will be Food and Entertainment and will be accepting donations for Rolling Thunder. This is a wonderful organization that provides services for both Veterans and their families. Memorial Day is the Holiday to Honor those who have given so much, so that we, at home, are able to have the freedom to enjoy things, such as a weekend on your motorcycle, or out on your boat or personal watercraft.
Our Servicemen, both present and past, have not only chosen to protect our great country but unfortunately many paid a bigger price with their lives. We also can’t forget the families of these brave men and women, who sacrifice time with their spouses and children, because they believe in their choice to serve our country. Time most of us take for granted is precious to these servicemen and women, where they cherish any time they may have to spend with their families and pray it won’t be the last time.
Even if you are not a participant in the Grand Tour, please stop by FMS on Saturday and donate to this worthy cause and enjoy some free food and entertainment. If you would like to join the Grand Tour, I will be selling passports at this Mystery Stop and not a bad way to start the Tour off with 10 additional points for your passport.
I will be wearing a neon yellow shirt and I will be easy to find, I’m the one serving food to everyone. So come out and see me!!!
This will be a Great Party and a good way to kick off Rolling Thunder!!!
FMS and the Motorcycle Grand Tour of Virginia are providing the food and drinks. And of course my sister Michele Schmitt (FMS) and I have come up with a menu you can’t refuse. BBQ, coleslaw, baked beans and whatever else might show up on the serving line.
With this Mystery Stop, it won’t be hard to find me, I will be serving you and donations are being accepted for Rolling Thunder so they can continue all the good work they do for our veterans and their families, so donate generously and enjoy the great food and entertainment. As always, this stop is worth 10 points in your passports.
I will also have passports with me to sell, so get your friends to join the Tour and what better way to start than with motorcycle stunt riders, a great band and food while it lasts. Food service will start approximately 11am and be served until it’s all gone.
So I will see you all there!!!
Here we go again, another rainy, miserable day. The bright side, Mother’s Day is suppose to be gorgeous.
But the REALLY important news is that the SECOND MYSTERY STOP will be May 27th at Fredericksburg Motorsports.
It is FMS’ Rolling Thunder Kick Off Party!!!!
There will be a live band, 540Z Boys will be there and
Food! Michele Schmitt (FMS) and I are making BBQ, Coleslaw and whatever else that comes into my head.
So come and enjoy some good food, music and the antics of the 540Z Boys, get your stamp and enjoy yourself.
As with every Mystery Stop, I will have on my Neon Yellow Shirt and here’s the biggest hint, I will be serving food so I guess there is no hiding this time.
I will also have passports for sale at this event, so if you have a friend or family member that would like to join they will be able to do so.!!!
See ya there!
Thanks to someone who wanted to register for the Grand Tour, I found out that the phone number is out of service for some reason. It’s attached to this website, so really don’t know what’s going on. The office number is (240) 258-5250.
I have changed the number to the office so you can reach me directly. There is still plenty of time to join the Grand Tour, it runs until October 20th, so you can sign up now.
The weather is definitely not on our side this year! It was cold and wet at Cooter’s Place!!!
BUT….We did have 23 Riders brave the weather and show up in Luray Virginia. Despite the weather, the participants had fun, took a look around, got something to eat and took in the memorabilia from the TV Show Dukes of Hazzard.
I’d like to say “Thank You” to Alma and Ben (Cooter), who gave us permission to use their Grand Opening as our first Mystery Stop.
Our Second Mystery Stop will be May 27th….But that’s all you get right now. The rest will be revealed in 6 days….
It took a little time but shirts are on sale now!!!
